Kforce has a client in Morrisville, NC that is seeking a highly skilled Technical Scrum Master to support a fast-paced Networking organization within a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as Scrum Master for multiple networking-focused workstreams, facilitating Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Support Waterfall-based projects where required, ensuring milestones, dependencies, and delivery timelines are tracked and communicated effectively
  • Apply appropriate delivery methodology (Agile, hybrid, or Waterfall) based on project scope and stakeholder needs
  • Act as the primary Jira expert and system of record owner for the networking team
  • Partner directly with network engineers to write, refine, and maintain Jira tickets, ensuring: Clear problem statements and objectives; Accurate technical context and scope; Acceptance criteria, dependencies, and risks are documented
  • Establish and enforce Jira standards for epics, stories, tasks, and subtasks to improve visibility and reporting
  • Manage large volumes of incoming work while ensuring prioritization and traceability across initiatives
  • Work across multiple networking, infrastructure, security, and platform teams to ensure alignment and delivery consistency
  • Coordinate dependencies across teams and escalate risks or blockers proactively
  • Provide clear communication to technical leads, product owners, and stakeholders on status, risks, and delivery progress
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, documentation, and workflow hygiene
  • Support ITIL and Change Management processes, including change documentation, approvals, and scheduling
  • Contribute to the adoption of scaled Agile practices where applicable

Requirements:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification (required)
  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects using Waterfall methodologies (required)
  • Strong Jira experience (required): Proven ability to manage large backlogs; Hands-on experience writing and maintaining tickets on behalf of engineers
  • General networking experience (required): Familiarity with networking concepts, terminology, and operational workflows; Knowledge of Cisco network devices is a strong plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical discussions into clear, actionable work items

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
