Technical Sales Representative for Real-Time Drilling Fluid Management

Integrated Drilling Fluids • Solids Control • Patent‑Backed Real‑Time Diagnostics

Position Summary

NPTLabs is seeking a high-caliber Technical Sales Representative to drive adoption of our patent-protected real-time diagnostic workflows , integrated drilling-fluid programs, and solids-control optimization services. This hybrid role blends commercial leadership with hands-on engineering, enabling operators to transition from reactive solids management to data-driven , preventative field control .

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable in the rig environment, the operator’s office, and the boardroom — capable of translating proprietary PSD/XRF insights , patented workflows, and operational improvements into measurable commercial value for the operator.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial & Technical Sales

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for NPTLabs’ integrated drilling fluid, solids control, and real-time diagnostic offerings.
  • Position and communicate the value of patent-backed workflows , emphasizing exclusivity, cost avoidance, and operational control.
  • Lead technical presentations, performance reviews, and ROI‑based proposals for drilling engineers, superintendents, and executive teams.
  • Expand market share by introducing operators to NPTLabs’ preventative, measurement-driven field management model.
  • Support contract negotiations, pricing structures, and long-term service agreements.

Drilling Fluid Engineering

  • Provide when required remote engineering support for drilling fluid systems, ensuring compliance with operator specifications and NPTLabs’ performance standards.
  • Monitor when required rheology, LGS trends, and dilution strategies using real‑time diagnostic data .
  • Troubleshoot fluid-related issues and implement corrective actions aligned with patented workflows.
  • Collaborate with operator, rig crews, mud suppliers, and solids control personnel to maintain system integrity.

Solids Control Optimization

  • Oversee shaker, centrifuge, and cuttings dryer performance with a focus on LGS prevention , not post‑event correction.
  • Assist in applying PSD and XRF data to guide equipment settings, screen selection, and dilution decisions.
  • Evaluate solids removal efficiency and recommend adjustments that reduce non‑productive dilution and protect fluid properties.
  • Document and communicate solids control performance using NPTLabs’ proprietary reporting formats.

Real‑Time Diagnostics & Patented Workflows

  • Interpret NPTLabs’ patented PSD/XRF diagnostic tools to quantify solids loading, elemental composition, and system trends for the operator.
  • Convert diagnostic data into actionable recommendations that reduce cost, improve drilling performance, and prevent fluid degradation.
  • Support deployment of new diagnostic technologies and digital reporting systems.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geology, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in management of drilling fluids, solids control, and or oilfield technical sales.
  • Demonstrated success in customer-facing engineering or technical sales roles.
  • Strong understanding of drilling fluid rheology, LGS management, and solids control equipment.
  • Ability to understand and use PSD, XRF, or other analytical diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel to rig sites and operator offices.
