Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Project Manager / Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate combines deep technical understanding with strategic business insight, excels at leading complex cross-functional initiatives, and can translate business needs into actionable technical requirements. This role is remote-first, requiring strong communication skills, disciplined stakeholder management, and a proven track record of delivering technology-driven programs on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic technology programs and projects from inception through deployment and stabilization.
- Capture, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria; translate business needs into technical specifications for engineering teams.
- Develop and maintain program roadmaps, project plans, budgets, resource plans, risk registers, and governance artifacts.
- Drive scoping, requirements elicitation, solution design, impact analysis, and trade-off analyses to balance business value with technical feasibility.
- Manage cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, QA, UX, Data, Security, Compliance, Customer Support) and coordinate priorities across multiple workstreams.
- Facilitate requirement workshops, design reviews, sprint planning, and stakeholder alignment sessions; lead effective change control processes.
- Define and track success metrics, KPIs, and benefits realization; provide regular status reporting to executives and stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, issues, dependencies, and scope creep; implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Ensure quality through rigorous testing coordination, user acceptance testing (UAT), and smooth release management.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements; collaborate with Compliance and Data Protection Officers as needed.
- Mentor and coach junior PMs/BAs; promote best practices, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Foster strong vendor and contractor management when engaging third-party services or SaaS providers.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and methodologies (e.g., Agile/SAFe, Lean, DevOps, Design Thinking) and advocate for best-fit practices.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of combined experience in technical project management and business analysis, with a demonstrated track record delivering complex technology initiatives.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), architecture patterns, and modern technologies (cloud, APIs, data platforms, microservices, UI/UX frontends).
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, process mapping, data analysis, and business case development.
- Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and leading cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills: able to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and translate business goals into actionable plans.
- Ability to define and manage budgets, schedules, risk, and dependency tracking; adept at prioritization and trade-off analysis.
- Proven capability to drive projects to successful completion with a customer-centric focus.
- Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Advanced degree or certifications preferred.

Technical and Functional Competencies:
- Technical acumen: comfortable with software architecture concepts, APIs, data modeling, data integration, cloud services, security/privacy considerations.
- Data literacy: ability to interpret metrics, dashboards, and analytics; basic SQL or data exploration skills a plus.
- Vendor and contract management: negotiating statements of work (SOWs), service level agreements (SLAs), and performance metrics.
- Risk management: identifying risks early, developing mitigation plans, and communicating risk posture to leadership.
- Change management: building and executing change control processes; stakeholder advocacy and user adoption strategies.
- Documentation: strong written communication; clear BRD/CRs, user stories, acceptance criteria, test plans, and release notes.
Work Environment and Logistics:
- Remote work with availability to collaborate across multiple time zones within the USA; occasional travel may be required (less than 10%, as needed).
- Must have a reliable home office setup with a secure internet connection.
- Willingness to participate in occasional customer-facing or executive-facing meetings as needed.
