Job Description: Technical Product Owner Product Information Management (PIM) Integrations.
This role will be responsible for the cloud-based integration strategy, data flows, and API development of the Product Information Management (PIM) system to Ecommerce The Product Owner will collaborate with stakeholders, developers, analysts, and business leads to strategically prioritize features that enhance product data accuracy, enrichment, and syndication. This individual will serve as the end-to-end product leader from ideation and requirements gathering through deployment and lifecycle management.
What you will do:
- Drive the long-term strategy and roadmap for PIM system integrations, focusing on scalability, data quality, and seamless connectivity across platforms.
- Incorporate internal and external stakeholder feedback to generate features that deliver true business value and improve user experience.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, UX, DevOps, and other internal or external data providers to build roadmaps that ensure cohesive integration of product data into digital products and commerce platforms.
- Manage the product backlog (PBL). Define user stories with detailed acceptance criteria that meet a Definition of Ready; participate in daily standups and sprint reviews of engineering work products.
- Oversee API lifecycle management, including design, documentation, testing, and versioning.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to enable rapid, reliable deployment of integration features.
- Ensure data flows are optimized for performance, security, and compliance using cloud services (e.g., Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, GCP Pub/Sub).
- Collaborate with cloud architects to ensure integrations align with enterprise cloud strategy and governance.
Musts:
- 5+ years of progressively responsible work experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or similar roles using an Agile software development process.
- Proven experience with cloud-based system integrations, API development, and data flow optimization.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture and modern integration patterns.
- Deep knowledge of the retail, eCommerce, or manufacturing industry, including PIM platforms and product data management practices.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong initiative with the ability to work independently and drive cross-functional alignment.
- Pragmatic problem solver with the ability to break down complex technical challenges into actionable components.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Wants:
- Technical degree in IT (Information Technology), systems or data analytics
- MBA
- Experience with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Commerce Cloud, Spryker) and PIM solutions (e.g., Salsify, Informatica, Syndigo, Akeneo)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
