Role Summary:
The Technical/Delivery Lead is the single point of accountability for the Cyient’s delivery against this SOW. This person coordinates across all team members, interfaces directly with Boeing's project manager and stakeholders, manages dependencies and risks, ensures milestone acceptance criteria are met, and owns the quality of all documentation and knowledge transfer materials. While Boeing retains sprint planning authority, this lead ensures the team is unblocked, aligned, and delivering at the required cadence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary interface between the Seller's team and Boeing's project manager, sponsor, and IT teams.
- Coordinate sprint execution, ensuring the team delivers 2 data sources to production per month in alignment with milestone targets.
- Manage dependencies proactively: track source owner readiness, security/network approvals, framework updates, and cloud provisioning timelines.
- Identify, escalate, and mitigate risks and issues per the SOW's risk management requirements; produce mitigation plans for Boeing review.
- Ensure all acceptance criteria are met before milestone deliverable submission — including DQ pass rates, test coverage, documentation completeness, and SLA compliance.
- Conduct sprint demos, milestone reviews, and stakeholder presentations.
- Own the quality and completeness of all documentation: runbooks, data contracts, transformation specs, onboarding guides, incident playbooks, and KT materials.
- Lead the Month 6 knowledge transfer and handover process, ensuring Boeing Ops teams can independently operate all 12 sources.
- Monitor team velocity and capacity; flag resource risks or the need for scope change requests (CRs) early.
- Ensure compliance with Boeing design standards and the SOW's formal change request process for any framework extensions.
- Facilitate communication between the team and Boeing's source owners, data governance/stewards, security, and platform teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10–14 years of experience in data engineering, cloud platforms, or enterprise data programs, with at least 3–4 years in a technical lead or delivery management role.
- Proven track record of delivering data platform or data integration programs on time and within scope in a client-facing capacity.
- Deep understanding of data ingestion patterns (batch, streaming, CDC), ETL/ELT architectures, and lakehouse platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of AWS data services and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience managing teams of 6–10 engineers across multiple workstreams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills — comfortable presenting to senior leadership and managing competing priorities.
- Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum delivery: sprint planning, backlog grooming, velocity tracking, retrospectives.
- Strong risk and dependency management skills with a proactive escalation approach.
- Experience with formal change management processes and SOW/contract-level delivery accountability.
- Ability to review and ensure quality of technical documentation, architecture decisions, and operational runbooks.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience delivering projects for Boeing or other aerospace/defense clients.
- PMP, SAFe, or Scrum Master certification.
- Familiarity with FinOps, cost optimization, and cloud governance.
- Experience with knowledge transfer and operational handover in managed services engagements.
