ASRC Federal is looking for detail-oriented and motivated Technical and Principal Revenue Accountant to join our team in a government contracting (GovCon) environment. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly organized, and able to work collaboratively across departments.
Requirements
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited U.S. College/University.
• 8+ years of professional experience.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) highly preferred.
Qualifications & Responsibilities
• Highly experienced with/in:
◦ Review customer contracts and determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment per ASC606 checklist.
◦ Maintain purchase accounting workbooks for small acquisitions, as needed.
◦ Initiate research of revenue technical topics, and draft supporting policies, procedures, white papers.
◦ Prepare, review and explain assigned balance sheet reconciliations.
◦ Support month-end/year-end closings to include accruals and month closing entries.
◦ Analyze financial statements and perform monthly Balance Sheet and P&L trend analysis.
◦ Provide technical accounting and reporting research and guidance for financial transactions.
◦ Participation in process improvement initiatives and workflows, including developing and monitoring compliance with corporation accounting and reporting policies.
◦ Writing white papers and memos as needed.
◦ Support adhoc projects.
◦ Microsoft Office; specifically, the use of pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs, and additional calculations/tools within Excel.
• Deltek Costpoint experience is preferred.
• Possess strong attention to detail, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced compliance-driven environment.
