As a Teacher, a typical day might include the following:
* Oversee the educational activities within the childcare classroom
* Apply standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the childcare field
* Establish and maintain supportive relationships with children and parents
* Work cooperatively in a team atmosphere.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
This job might be for you if:
* You are eighteen years of age or older
* High School Diploma or GED
* 1-2 years documented child care work related experience
* Have the ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a team
* Background check results satisfactory to SEL and DEL
* Current Washington State Food Handlers Permit
* Current HIV/AIDS and blood borne pathogen training
* Current MMR vaccination
* Negative Mantoux TB test result(s)
* Current Infant, Child & Adult First Aid/CPR certified
* Meet STARS training requirement in the state of Washington and be listed in the State Training and Registry System
* Valid Driver's License
* Ability to meet MVR Qualification Standards of SEL
* Current Child Abuse and Neglect Training
* Current Safe Sleep Training
* Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
* Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
* Negative drug test result(s)
Physical Requirements

Pay Range Data
New hires generally start at $21.50 per hour. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
