Teacher Assistant

Seven Hills Pediatric Center is seeking a caring and dependable Teacher Assistant to support classroom activities and provide hands-on assistance to students with developmental disabilities. This role is essential in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for students with complex medical and educational needs.
Pay: $26.00/hour

Responsibilities
- Assist classroom staff with setup, participation, and cleanup for activities and events
- Provide hand-over-hand support to students during classroom tasks
- Complete routine classroom documentation under teacher direction
- Research and suggest new activities to enhance student engagement
- Support wheelchair-bound students in accessing school, residential areas, and the community
- Reposition, feed, and provide personal care to students/residents as needed
- Maintain a professional and supportive presence in the classroom
- Work in harmony with Seven Hills Foundation’s mission and values
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or HiSET required
- Experience: No prior experience required; personal or work-related experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 17 years old, actively enrolled in secondary school, and possess a valid working permit
- Certifications: CPR/First Aid required
- Driver’s License: Not required
