Level 2 Tax Preparer – Irvine, CA
Are you a skilled Tax Preparer with experience handling complex business returns? Guardian Tax is seeking a Level 2 Tax Preparer for our Irvine office. This is a permanent, full-time, in-office position, ideal for professionals who thrive on detail, accuracy, and client service.
If you have a strong background in corporate, partnership, or Schedule C returns, and you enjoy navigating complex tax situations with confidence, this is the role for you. What You'll Do
Prepare accurate individual and business tax returns
Work on Schedules A, B, C, D, and amended filings
Handle corporate and small business returns including S-Corps (1120S), C-Corps (1120), and Partnerships (1065)
Review client documentation and gather all necessary information
Ensure filings comply with current federal and California tax regulations
Collaborate with the team during peak tax season to maintain efficiency and quality
Requirements
Active PTIN and CTEC certification
2+ years of hands-on tax preparation experience
Proven proficiency in business tax returns (Level 2 eligibility)
Experience with amended returns and complex filings
Strong knowledge of federal and California tax law
Familiarity with PRO-Series tax software
Detail-oriented, professional, and deadline-driven
Clear and confident communication with clients and colleagues
Pay & Benefits
$22–$26 per hour, based on experience
Performance-based monthly bonuses
