A growing public accounting team is seeking a detail-focused Operations Assistant to support tax professionals with the preparation, assembly, and delivery of client returns. This role is critical to ensuring accurate processing, timely distribution, and seamless workflow during peak tax periods.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and finalize tax returns for distribution
- Scan and maintain electronic and physical documentation in accordance with internal standards
- Prepare, format, proofread, and convert financial statements to PDF, including footnotes
- Generate, distribute, and track client deliverables
- Maintain tracking logs for active engagements across assigned leadership teams
- Support adherence to established operational and financial procedures
- Compile and organize data in alignment with departmental policies and reporting needs
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of administrative or operations experience within a public accounting firm
- Must have hands-on experience with both SafeSend and CCH Axcess
- Ability to work extended hours (50–60+) during busy season
- Background in processing and distributing tax returns in a public accounting setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Professional presence with a high level of discretion
- Collaborative mindset with a client-service orientation
