Job Details

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare or review a diverse variety of complex returns for our high-net-worth clients for their trusts, estate (1041’s), and foundations
  • Consult with our estate/gift tax subject matter experts to develop income and estate/gift tax planning strategies for our clients
  • Maintain current in-depth knowledge of and be able to read and interpret estate planning documents such as trusts and wills and be able to recommend planning ideas to our clients.
  • Review complex trust income tax returns, and estate income tax returns (Form 1041)
  • Assists with developing, recommending, and implementing efficient and effective methods to maximize client benefits, especially by decreasing clients current and future taxes
  • Train and mentor managers/seniors/associates on specialization areas, research skills, and helps to appropriately frame tax issues for analysis
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Capacity to work well in a team environment as well as independently
  • Capable of effectively developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Executive presence and ability to act as primary client contact for preparation and presentation of issues and resolutions to clients
  • Proficient in GO RS tax software, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of fiduciary tax and wealth planning experience in public accounting/professional services firm specifically with high-net-worth clients
  • CPA license or JD/LLM in Taxation preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required; master's in taxation preferred
