A Kforce client in the Saint Louis, MO area is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their team. This role plays a key part in leading the day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of income tax provision and compliance processes. The Tax Manager will oversee the organization's tax reporting responsibilities for assigned areas, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and oversee the organization's overall tax strategy, including all subsidiaries
  • Oversee preparation and review of tax returns and income tax accounting
  • Monitor tax law changes and research emerging tax issues or business initiatives
  • Manage tax audits, legal matters, and compliance requirements
  • Prepare tax planning reports and estimate tax obligations
  • Advise senior leadership on strategies to minimize tax liabilities and risks
  • Maintain tax records and ensure proper retention policies
  • Serve as the primary liaison with third-party tax preparers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Advanced tax or legal degree a plus
  • CPA preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in public accounting and/or corporate tax, including prior management experience
  • Strong understanding of tax principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with senior leadership and external stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze complex information, interpret technical and legal documents, and solve problems effectively

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
