We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Manager to join our Accounting and Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment where you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our tax operations. You will be playing a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with all tax regulations as well as developing and implementing effective tax strategies. This role requires an individual with a strong background in Real Estate and a proven track record of managing complex tax issues.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee the company's tax department, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.
2. Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure the financial efficiency of the company.
3. Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and on-time submission.
4. Conduct complex tax research and analysis to support business decisions and tax planning strategies.
5. Coordinate audits by various taxation authorities and manage tax disputes and resolutions.
6. Provide expert tax advice to the management team, supporting strategic decision-making.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with tax authorities and external consultants.
8. Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the company's tax policies and strategies are updated accordingly.
9. Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or similar role, preferably within the Real Estate industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and procedures at the state, federal, and international levels.
4. Proven experience in managing complex tax issues and developing effective tax strategies.
5. Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading and mentoring a high-performing team.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex tax information in a clear and concise manner.
8. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical business practices.
9. Proficiency in tax software and other relevant computer applications.
