We are seeking a Tax Manager to join our firm. At our firm clients firm they below in work life balance and they do not track/ or bill for hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities, preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing client relationships, and assisting in the preparation and review of individual and business tax returns.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage all tax functions, including planning, compliance, and audit defense.
2. Prepare, review, and finalize financial statements in accordance with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
3. Manage and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
4. Prepare detailed client tax projections and develop strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
5. Assist in preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
6. Provide expert tax advice to clients and internal stakeholders, keeping abreast of tax law changes and their implications.
7. Collaborate with other members of the finance team to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and achieve organizational goals.
8. Participate in business development initiatives, promoting the company's tax services to potential clients.
9. Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification will be considered a strong asset.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax role, preferably in a managerial position.
3. In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and best practices.
4. Exceptional financial and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
5. Proven ability to prepare and review financial statements and tax returns.
6. Strong client relationship management skills, with a proven track record of maintaining and growing a client base.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.
8. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a commitment to professional development.
9. Proficiency in tax software and other accounting tools.
