The Tax Director will lead tax strategy, planning, and compliance for high‑net‑worth individuals, multigenerational families, and complex trust/endowment structures within a boutique private wealth management firm.

With a focus on holistic planning, the firm integrates investment management, tax strategy, estate planning, and fiduciary oversight to deliver a highly personalized advisory experience
Description
- Lead the firm's tax planning and advisory services for HNW clients, families, trusts, estates, and private foundations.
- Oversee preparation and review of complex tax returns (1040, 1041, 1065, 709, 990-PF, etc.).
- Develop and communicate proactive tax strategies including charitable planning, wealth transfer, entity structuring, and multi-state tax considerations.
- Collaborate with wealth advisors to integrate tax insights into clients' comprehensive financial plans.
- Manage relationships with external tax preparers, legal counsel, and other professional partners.

Profile
A successful Tax Director should have:
- CPA
- 10+ years of progressive experience in individual, fiduciary, and partnership taxation, ideally within a private wealth, family office, or Big 4/large regional firm environment.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. tax code relevant to HNW clients, trusts/estates, gifting, charitable vehicles (incl. CRTs & foundations), and multi-generational planning.
Job Offer
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $180,000 to $210,000 USD.
