Tax Accountant

This role has a base salary of $80,000 - $105,000 depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, business, trust, and corporate tax returns
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax documents
- Conduct tax planning and projections for clients or the organization
- Research and resolve tax issues, staying current with changing regulations
- Supervise, train, and mentor junior staff and interns
- Manage client relationships and serve as a key contact for tax matters
- Provide support during tax audits and interact with tax authorities as needed
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and make recommendations for business/process improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s or CPA preferred)
- 3–5+ years of relevant experience in public accounting or tax
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and accounting principles
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency with CCH Axcess Tax and ProSystem fx Tax.
