TAX ACCOUNTANT

Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 (DOE)

A well-established national financial services firm is seeking a full-time Tax Accountant to join its Mineola, NY office. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working directly with clients and preparing both individual and business tax returns. Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience preparing individual and business tax returns
• Strong client-facing communication skills
• 1+ years’ experience using UltraTax software (business return experience a plus)
• Familiarity with sales and payroll tax filings
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Positive, team-oriented professional approach

Responsibilities:

• Conduct client interviews and gather financial documentation
• Review financial data for accuracy and completeness
• Prepare individual and small business tax returns
• Provide guidance on tax and accounting matters
• Respond to client inquiries and research tax-related issues
• Assist with sales and payroll tax filings
• Support additional projects as assigned
