Talent Development Project Manager
Remote or Hybrid in Lehi, Utah (onsite Tues and Wed)
5+ month contract- potential for FTE conversion in 2026
Pay Rate: $45.00 - $50.00 per hr.
Our client is evolving their Talent Development function to be more strategically aligned too their business. They are a small but growing team and are looking for a Contract Talent Development Project Manager to help them build structure, launch impactful programs, and support the selection and implementation of a new Learning Management System (LMS).
This is a contractor position with the potential to convert to full-time employment when budgets open next year.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the team on the RFP process for a new LMS, including vendor evaluation and selection.
- Support the implementation of the LMS, including configuration, rollout, and administration.
- Evaluate and optimize existing talent development programs to ensure scalability and impact.
- Build systems, structure, and repeatable processes (e.g., process maps, workflows, governance).
- Contribute to global initiatives such as:
- Launching a company-wide mentorship program
- Shifting toward a more skills-based approach to talent development
- Provide insights from data and feedback to help improve programs and processes.
- Collaborate closely with a small, nimble team to support ~1,500 employees worldwide.
- Opportunity to shape and influence a growing Talent Development function.
- Exposure to global programs with meaningful business impact.
- Be part of the full lifecycle of LMS adoption — from vendor selection to rollout.
Required Skills:
- 4 years of experience in talent development, learning, HR, or a related people function.
- Hands-on experience with LMS administration; experience with LMS implementation and/or vendor selection (RFP) strongly preferred.
- Strong project management skills and ability to create processes, workflows, and structure.
- Familiarity with talent management, job architecture, or skills-based approaches
- Comfort working with data to identify trends and offer insights.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive on a small, fast-moving team.
- Basic data analysis skills (xlookups, vlookups, Excel slicers and pivot tables)
- Advanced data analysis skills (Advanced Excel, Tableau or PowerBI)
- LMS configuration and implementation experience
- PMP or other project management certification preferred.
