Job Title: Talent Acquisition Recruiter
Location: Houston, TX
Type: Contract to hire
Hours: Monday - Thursday 9 hours / Friday 4 hours (Some Flexibility and Hybrid possibility after initial training)

Summary:

This role supports our client's Workforce Planning team in focusesing on full-cycle recruiting for engineering and project-based roles across process, chemical, and power environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience recruiting for technical/engineering positions in industrial settings and be comfortable managing multiple requisitions in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. Strong coordination skills, compliance awareness, and the ability to partner closely with hiring managers are key.

Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and conduct initial interviews for candidates.
• Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and support candidate selection.
• Manage assigned requisitions end-to-end, including review, edits, and approvals.
• Build and update job descriptions based on project scope and needs.
• Track and report recruiting activity using internal systems and Microsoft Office tools.
• Support onboarding processes (background checks, drug screens, I-9, E-Verify, employment documentation)
• Lead redeployment efforts for existing workforce nearing project completion.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
• Deliver a high level of customer service to internal stakeholders and candidates.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of engineering recruiting experience.
• Direct experience recruiting for engineering or technical roles required.
• Experience supporting industrial environments such as process, chemical, power, or similar.
• Excellent people skills including collaboration, communication, presentation, and team building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of employment laws/compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Requirements:

• Associates or Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
• Bilingual - Fluent in Spanish and English is a plus.
• PHR or SHRM-CP.
