Systems Operations Engineer

Introduction

You will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing multi-faceted Systems Operations Engineering challenges, contributing to their resolution, and collaborating strategically with client personnel to meet deliverables.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Applicants must be able to work directly for the company on a W2 basis.
• 5 years of Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with providing technical systems support within a technology organization.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex technical issues related to applications, systems, databases, and other technical products.
• Experience in participating in migrations, upgrades, installations, and configurations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Provide support for complex technical issues and initiatives.
• Use diagnostic tools to maintain, troubleshoot, and restore service or data to systems.
• Evaluate service level agreement criteria and identify gaps in current technology processes.
• Write queries to extract and validate data loads, and complete project sizing.
• Update and write documentation and procedures, and assist with related training.
• Troubleshoot network, hardware, and software issues using general guidelines.
• Participate in writing test scripts and maintaining change or issue logs.
• Analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements.
