Job Summary
The Systems / Network Engineer is a senior-level technical professional responsible for the design, stability, security, and ongoing operation of the organization's network, server, and cloud infrastructure. This role ensures the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of systems and data that support members, employees, and business operations. The position serves as a technical escalation point and provides guidance and mentorship to other IT staff.
Key Objectives
- Maintain and enhance core IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, operating systems, applications, and security tools.
- Protect critical information assets through secure system design, monitoring, and remediation of vulnerabilities.
- Ensure operational resilience through effective backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.
- Support business efficiency by enabling reliable, secure, and scalable technology services.
- Provide senior-level technical leadership and knowledge sharing within the IT team.
Core Responsibilities
Network Engineering
- Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, LANs, WANs, and network segmentation.
- Ensure secure and reliable connectivity between all organizational locations, vendors, and external platforms.
- Monitor and optimize network performance, availability, and security.
Systems Administration
- Administer server environments including Active Directory, user and group management, security permissions, and Group Policy (GPO).
- Monitor system performance and capacity to ensure infrastructure components operate efficiently and reliably.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot servers, workstations, laptops, and peripheral devices.
Cloud & Virtualization
- Manage and support cloud-based platforms, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Maintain and administer virtualized environments and associated storage and backup systems.
Security & Compliance
- Monitor the security posture of networks and systems and perform vulnerability scanning.
- Assist with remediation planning and implementation for identified security risks.
- Conduct routine system, configuration, and backup audits to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory expectations.
- Support incident response activities and root-cause analysis.
Operations & Team Support
- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues and assist with the help desk as needed.
- Provide technical guidance, documentation, and training to IT staff.
- Monitor data center and infrastructure health using established monitoring tools.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5–6 years of experience in systems administration, network engineering, or cybersecurity roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with Active Directory, networking technologies, virtualization, and enterprise backup solutions.
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Professional certifications (Cisco, Microsoft, Security-related) are highly desired.
Salary: The base pay for this position is $75,000. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.

Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Ability to perform prolonged computer use and repetitive hand movements.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 20–50 pounds.
