**POSITION SUMMARY: **

This Systems/Endpoint Support Specialist will report directly to the Director of Information Technology and will plan, design, develop, and launch efficient technical solutions in support of core organizational functions and business processes. The Endpoint Management Specialist will maintain software and hardware solutions both “on premise” and in “cloud” environments to help achieve business requirements. They will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments. Also, includes end user computing support as well as service desk resolution.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Endpoint Management & Automation (MECM/Intune)
  • Unified Endpoint Management: Serve as the primary administrator for Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) and Microsoft Intune to manage the lifecycle of corporate desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Imaging & Deployment: Build, maintain, and deploy Windows OS images and software packages, ensuring a "zero-touch" or highly automated deployment process.
  • Patch Management: Oversee the scheduling and deployment of security patches and version updates for OS and third-party applications to ensure compliance and security.
  1. Mobile Device Management (MDM) & RF Support
  • Mobile Governance: Configure and manage MDM policies (Intune/Company Portal) for corporate-owned and BYOD mobile devices, including security profiles and application restrictions.
  • Warehousing Technology Support: Provide specialized support for RF Guns (Ruggedized Handheld Scanners), including configuration, connectivity troubleshooting (Wi-Fi/Terminal Services), and device replacement.
  • POS & Hardware Hardening: Secure and maintain Point of Sale (POS) hardware and operating systems, applying hardening standards to protect sensitive transactional data.
  1. Advanced Technical Support (Level 2/3)
  • Escalated Troubleshooting: Act as the highest escalation point for the Helpdesk, resolving complex hardware and software issues that require deep-dive root cause analysis.
  • Identity & Access: Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions within Active Directory and Azure AD (Entra ID), including O365 mailbox management and licensing.
  • Remote & On-site Support: Support local and remote staff with hardware connectivity, VPN issues, and Microsoft 365 application performance.
  1. Infrastructure Collaboration
  • Network Coordination: Work closely with Network Engineering to troubleshoot connectivity issues related to wireless APs (especially for RF guns) and wired port configurations.
  • Manufacturing Integration: Provide "boots on the ground" support for IT/OT integration, assisting with the networking and setup of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems on the manufacturing floor.
  1. Security & Documentation
  • Security Compliance: Implement endpoint security best practices, including Windows Firewall configurations, disk encryption (BitLocker), and antivirus (Defender) monitoring.
  • Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate inventory of all assets (PCs, Scanners, POS) and create "How-To" documentation for both the IT team and end-users.

**POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: **

**Applications Support: **

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in end user computing, and hardware/software support in a manufacturing and/or retail environment.
  • Experience working with application security administration tools, customer support.

**Networking: **

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in the networking area and in a manufacturing and/or retail environment.

  • Skilled with engineering enterprise data, voice, and video networks.

  • Able to administer Routers, Switches, Firewalls at the detailed configuration level.

  • Able to configure and secure Internet facing firewalls interfacing with external partner and company sites.

  • Experience with vendors, clients, carriers and technical staff on network implementation, optimization, and ongoing management.

  • Skilled at researching, designing, and implementing wireless networks.

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical and diagnostic skills including resolving LAN/WAN performance, connectivity, and related problems.

  • Able to administer LAN/WAN security measures both internal and external to the network.

**Infrastructure Support: **

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in the infrastructure area to include “on premise” and “cloud based” solutions in a manufacturing and/or retail environment.

**Systems Administration: **

  • 3-5 years’ experience managing technical systems and solutions within the infrastructure area in a manufacturing and/or retail environment.
  • Proficiency with AD, HP UX, Linux, VMware, Windows, Exchange, Active Directory Services including DNS, DHCP.
  • Proficiency with SUSE Linux, SUSE for SAP installation, troubleshooting and tuning experience.
