Annual Salary: $125,000 - $155,000
Position
As a System Administrator III, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and effectiveness of our information systems that support critical organizational functions. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing all networked hardware/software, operating systems, and related infrastructure components. Utilizing excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, you will maximize the value of Sekisui Aerospace's investments in IT systems.
The condition, efficiency, and security of all computers and servers on our corporate network fall under the purview of this senior technical position.
This role requires the ability to interpret system, security, and performance data to determine root cause, assess operational impact, and drive informed technical decisions.
This position is at the following Sekisui Aerospace location: Renton, Washington, with occasional travel to Sumner/Auburn, Washington. It may require periodic travel.
Admin will:
Infrastructure Management and Maintenance:
Network Infrastructure Management:
o Configure, monitor, and maintain network switches to ensure optimal performance.
o Implement and manage firewalls to safeguard the organization's network security.
o Oversee the deployment and maintenance of Wireless Access Points
o Demonstrated ability to configure and maintain sitetosite VPN/firewall connections, implement Layer 3 routing and granular firewall policies to control access between networks, and design/manage segmented networks using DHCP scopes and VLAN configuration.
Virtualization and Server Management:
o Administer VM Hosts to support virtualization environments.
o Monitor and optimize virtual machine performance.
o Install, Configure, Administer and Optimize an environment of Windows VM servers
o Conduct regular backups and ensure disaster recovery plans are in place.
o Provide support for business critical applications and perform SQL server administration tasks with support from external vendor
Storage Arrays Administration:
o Manage and maintain storage arrays for efficient data storage and retrieval.
o Implement and monitor storage replication for data redundancy and availability.
o Administer storage solutions, including SAN/NAS configurations, understanding of iSCSI, LUNs, NFS, and RAID setups.
Security and Compliance:
o Implement security best practices across the network infrastructure.
o Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
o Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
o Utilize monitoring, logging, and security tooling to identify trends, isolate root cause, assess business impact, and determine appropriate remediation or escalation.
o Respond to system outages and performance issues promptly.
o Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Application Management:
Azure Management:
o Oversee and manage all aspects of Azure infrastructure.
o Ensure efficient resource utilization and optimization in the Azure environment.
o Stay updated on Azure services, features, and best practices.
Active Directory & Azure Active Directory Management:
o Administer hybrid on-premises/Azure Active Directory for secure and seamless identity management.
o Implement and enforce identity and access controls.
Identity & Access Management (IAM):
o Develop and implement IAM policies to regulate user access to resources.
o Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards in IAM practices.
Privileged Access Management (PAM):
o Administer Privileged Access Management (PAM) for maintaining high-security standards.
o Monitor and control privileged access to sensitive operations.
Managing Azure Subscriptions:
o Oversee Azure subscriptions, ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness.
o Collaborate with teams to align subscriptions with organizational goals.
Intune Management & Endpoint Management:
o Utilize Microsoft Intune and Automox for comprehensive endpoint management.
o Implement security policies and device compliance using Intune.
SQL Management:
o Perform routine operational SQL Server administration tasks in coordination with a DBA-as-a-Service provider; act as the infrastructure owner, not the database designer.
o Execute and validate database failover between primary and secondary nodes in clustered or high-availability configurations; verify application connectivity post-failover.
o Verify backups and perform database restores to meet recovery objectives; identify issues and escalate advanced tuning or recovery scenarios to the DBA provider.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
* Provide advanced level technical support, troubleshooting complex issues that surpass Level 2 help desk capabilities. Estimated 30% of time
* Lead in resolving server-related software issues and ensure seamless integration of new applications and services.
* Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, including backup and restoration procedures for critical data.
* Document technical procedures and create system reports for ongoing system maintenance and upgrades.
* Apply and maintain 5S principles to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient work environment that supports operational excellence and safety
* Auditing & Evidence Readiness: Collect, review, and interpret system, security, and access data to support internal reviews, external audits, and compliance assessments; identify gaps, assess risk, and drive corrective actions in coordination with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic understanding of Manufacturing processes
Experience in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar for routine tasks and system deployments.
Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., PII, CMMC, ITAR, NIST, FDA) and experience in implementing compliance-related IT policies.
Education
Bachelor's degree in information Technology, an equivalent degree, or directly related experience is strongly preferred.
Certificates
Industry certifications preferred, especially CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.

Pay
SEKISUI Aerospace is required by Washington law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Washington resident. Pay ranges may be higher or lower for non-resident WA employees, based on the market data for their region, allowing us to pay employees competitively in different geographic markets.
