System and Network Administrator

Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled System and Network Administrator to maintain, upgrade, and manage our software, hardware, and networks. You will be the backbone of our technical operations, ensuring our infrastructure is redundant, secure, and performing at peak efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who can handle everything from high-level network architecture to deep-dive server troubleshooting. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where uptime is the highest priority.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain all network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, and access points) and server entities.
• System Administration: Manage Windows and Linux server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP services.
• Network Security: Implement and monitor security measures (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and Antivirus) to protect data, software, and hardware.
• Cloud & Virtualization: Maintain virtualized environments (VMware/Hyper-V) and manage cloud-based infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
• Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor system performance and resource utilization. Conduct monthly and quarterly scans.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Design and execute robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Support: Act as the Tier 2/3 escalation point for complex technical issues that the help desk cannot resolve.

Technical Requirements:

• Experience: 2+ years in a system or network administration role.
• Networking: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, and VPN tunneling.
• OS Expertise: Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux.
• Virtualization: Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Hardware: Familiarity with enterprise-grade gear (Cisco, Fortinet, Dell, or HP).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator.
• Automation: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform).
• Security: Experience with SOC2 compliance.

• Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Calm Under Pressure: Resilience during system outages or security incidents.
• Analytical Thinking: A methodical approach to diagnosing complex problems
