Switcher Driver

Description:

• Moves trailers in a safe and accurate manner.
• Operates various tractor-trailer combinations within the yard and between company holdings.
• Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Must work safely and insure all safety requirements are met.
• Able to operate computer / tablet for work assignments.
• Performs safety inspections of the yard horse and trailer according to DOT regulations.

Requirements:

• Must be able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screening and meet DOT medical requirement.
• Must have valid CDL-A
• Must be available to work overtime and weekends.
• Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Capable of standing, walking and repeatedly climbing into and out of switcher and road tractor.
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and reach.
• Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and write English at a proficientlevel
