We are North Shore Medical Center.
Full Time position- Flex position. This position will be a combination of day and night.
Our primary function is to offer continuous nursing, medical, and other health and social services on a 24-hour basis, under physician directed care and RN supervision.
We service a multitude of patients and their families across our vast network, while remaining committed to the professional development of our staff, the functional improvement of our patients, and the cultivation of strong partnerships within our communities.

Receives and relays incoming and outgoing telephone calls for the facility. Provides directory information, transfers calls as appropriate. Enters facility directory information into the computer database. Makes general emergency announcements over the facility's PA system. Handles the facility paging system and the beeper system.
To operate the switchboard in a kind and courteous way & in a timely manner.
Take messages and deliver to proper place as quickly as possible
Understand all emergency procedures including codes, Fire drills, Disaster Drill, Bomb Threats & Infant Abduction Drills.
Must be able to retain composure in stressful situations
To handle all in-coming & out going calls in a timely Manner.
Know how to use the flash system & how to put out pages and digital and voice messages on Pagers
Know all emergency Procedures & who to call.
Know where to look for information
Help at whatever task is assigned to you at the board.
Take orders from your Supervisor and report to her any information for which she is responsible.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1-3 year's switchboard operation experience required
Must be able to pass Background and Drug Test screenings.
