· Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
· Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or mechanical systems (preferred but not required)
· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
· Physical ability to lift equipment and perform manual tasks
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

· Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain pool equipment (pumps, heaters, filters, etc.)
· Perform seasonal pool openings and closings
· Test and balance water chemistry (pH, chlorine, alkalinity, etc.)
· Clean pools, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing, and filter maintenance
· Communicate professionally with customers and keep service records
· Work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality service
· Test and balance water chemistry (pH, chlorine, alkalinity, etc.), then confidently explain results and solutions to customers (training provided)
· Build product knowledge and make recommendations across chemicals, equipment, and accessories to keep pools clean, safe, and sparkling (training provided)
· Troubleshoot common water quality and basic equipment issues with a problem-solving mindset (training provided)
· Provide friendly, personalized service that helps customers feel confident caring for their pools
· Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment
· Create attractive, informative product displays and seasonal merchandising features
· Restock shelves and ensure products are we-presented and easy to find
· Support day-to-day operations, including opening/closing tasks and general upkeep
· Work as part of a team that takes pride in expertise, professionalism, and customer satisfaction
· Fulfill orders for customers picking up chemicals
· Maintain warehouse and grounds

About the Company
Family Pools
Family Pools was incorporated in 1978 by Charlie and Judy Poulos and their son Bill Gianopoulos. Bill is still running the company to this day. He concentrates on new pool installations. Since its inception we have grown to one of the largest swimming pool companies in New England. We have several long time employees that still work here. Shortly after the company started Ken Skeirek came on and has worked here ever since. Ken runs the excavations of the new pools and also sells pools. Then Dave Fairburn came on and has also worked here for more than 40 years. Dave is the general manager of the company and has run the service department for over twenty years. Chris Bistany is Bill’s nephew and started working here in 1986. He runs the liner change department. Laurey works in the accounting department and has worked here since 1996. Will Murphy started working on the road in 1997 and is now the service manager. Charly, Bill’s daughter has been here since 2017 and has been a service tech and now is the overseer of the store. This is truly a family company.
