Title:
CVOR Surgical Tech (Certified Surgical Technician)
Location:
Muskegon, Michigan

13 weeks + (Possibilities of Extension)
Hours:
40 hours/Weekly
Shifts:
Day shift
Schedule:
8h/day (5 days/week) or 10h/day (4 days/week)
- Prepare and set up the operating room for open heart (cardiovascular) surgeries
- Sterilize and organize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile field
- Handle specialized cardiovascular (CVOR) instruments and equipment
- Ensure strict adherence to aseptic and sterile techniques
- Anticipate surgeon needs during complex open-heart procedures
- Assist with patient positioning, draping, and pre-op preparation
- Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts before and after surgery
- Support the surgical team during emergency situations
- Clean and restock the operating room after procedures
- Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesia staff for smooth workflow
