Surface Mount Operator

The Surface Mount Operator is responsible for creating assemblies using surface mount technology components that are mounted directly onto the surface of printed circuit boards. This position will also be required to strategically optimize machine run time to increase efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities:
As the Surface Mount Operator you will:
- Program and operate SMT machinery including Automatic Stencil machine, Pick and Place, Reflow Oven, and Automatic Optical Inspection.
- Read, interpret and understand bills of material.
- Correct machine performance issues.
- Understand and follow instructions, and inspection policies.
- Maintain quality standards and schedules.
- Document, share and suggest solutions to correct fabrication issues caused by current design.
- Interface with engineering, supervisors, QC inspectors and co-workers.
- Able to manage workload and machine capabilities as required.
- Create and maintain programming documentation and SOPs.
- Train additional personnel to operate equipment.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Interface with facility maintenance to keep equipment fully operational.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of SMT experience preferred.
- Experience operating Manncorp machinery.
- Capable of monitoring machine performance, modifying and correcting.
- Able to read and interpret bills of material.
- Knowledge of ISO is a plus.
- Proficient in current computer software: MS Applications Word, Excel, and an understanding of ERP systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail, professionalism, and diplomacy in producing error-free documents and interacting with diverse audiences.
- Able to perform in a fast-paced, team environment, while responding and adapting to change favorably and quickly.
