Job Description:

TITLE: Support Engineer I

EST START DATE: ASAP

CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 months, potential to extend based on performance

LOCATION: Onsite x5 days/week in Bellevue, WA

HOURS: 8a-5p core hours, no OT/HOL

PAY RANGE: $18-23/hr

 

TEAM FOCUS / KEY PROJECTS:

- Delivery program that enables independent contractors to earn money by deliverying packages for the client, on the analytics side

- The team has created back-end-to-host data, so they need someone to move data into a single repository and onboarding data sets

WHAT IS THIS CONTRACTOR SPECIFICALLY DOING?

- This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of desktop computers, peripherals, software and related systems.

- Responsibilities include the timely resolution of issues affecting hardware, software and user permissions, as well as routine hardware maintenance.

- Execute data onboarding workflows by running Python scripts, managing permissions requests, and performing data validation tasks.

- Follow established procedures for table configuration, bulk onboarding operations, and quality checks.

- Unix/Linux experience, SQL and scripting exposure preferred.

- Ability to work independently on high-volume, repeatable tasks with strong attention to detail.

 

MAIN QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 1+ years of exp

- Good knowledge of SQL

- Command Line Interface (CLI)

- AWS Technologies - S3 and Athena

- Detailed knowledge of basic computer concepts, PC hardware and software troubleshooting, and workstation (desktop/laptop) hardware.

- Experience supporting Windows XP/7 and Server operating systems in a managed desktop environment.

- Experience supporting Macintosh OS X (10.4 & upwards) desirable.

- Basic working knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems (Red Hat preferable) at a user level.

- Solid knowledge of networks including Ethernet, TCP/IP, and Windows Server networking.

- Self motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Ability to maintain Customer Focus, stay motivated and be proactive.

- Insist on the highest standards from self and others.

- Good verbal and written communication skills.

- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.

- Microsoft MCSA/MCSE desirable.

- Additional vendor administrator level certifications preferred, especially Apple ACMT/ACSP and Cisco CCNA.

- BS Degree in computer science or combination of education and relevant experience.

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

- Coding

- Scripting in vise park

- Athena and/or Hive query

 

DISQUALIFIERS: Someone who is non-technical oriented
