Manpower Engineering is excited to partner with a highly respected manufacturing leader in Virginia Beach to hire an experienced Supply Planner. This is a full-time, direct‑hire opportunity with a company known for its stability, strong culture, and exceptional employee benefits—including a company-funded pension. As a Supply Planner, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring smooth production flow by managing material planning for designated commodities or production areas. You’ll oversee inventory levels, coordinate with suppliers, anticipate shortages, and ensure materials are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively.

- Execute and adjust material plans using SAP/MRP to ensure production needs are met
- Determine efficient and cost‑effective transportation options
- Maintain optimal inventory levels for production and spare parts
- Utilize ABC analysis to reduce excess or obsolete inventory
- Support capacity planning and align schedules with internal partners
- Communicate with suppliers regarding shortages, delays, or quality concerns
- Monitor supplier and production performance; recommend corrective actions
- Review and report on capacity requirements to identify constraints
- Maintain SAP master data (lead times, firm zones, tradeoff zones, etc.)
- Keep accurate documentation of orders, supplier performance, and history
- Coordinate inbound/outbound material flow across company sites
- Partner cross‑functionally to address nonconforming materials and prevent recurrence
- Assist with engineering change implementations
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- Inventory management knowledge
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems
- Manufacturing industry experience is a plus
- Preferred certifications: APICS CPIM, CSCP, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt
