Oversee Customer Service
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of customer service representatives to achieve performance goals
- Monitor daily operations, including call volume, response times, and service quality
- Handle escalated customer inquiries and resolve complex or sensitive issues
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and training to team members
- Develop and implement customer service policies and procedures
- Track and analyze performance metrics (KPIs) and prepare reports
- Collaborate with other departments to improve customer experience
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations
- Monitor and evaluate customer item creation for accuracy and production capabilities
Production Planning and Scheduling
- Develop, implement, and maintain production schedules with the production scheduler based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity constraints
- Supervise and support production planners and schedulers, providing guidance and performance feedback
- Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure material availability and smooth workflow
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address delays, equipment issues, or changing priorities
- Analyze production data to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize resource utilization
- Ensure adherence to production deadlines and quality standards
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to planning and scheduling processes
- Maintain accurate records of production plans, schedules, and performance metrics
- Communicate schedule changes and production status updates to stakeholders
- Monitor and track production job ticket accuracy and effectiveness
Continuous Improvement
- Meet or exceed KPI goals in safety, on time delivery, inventory accuracy, and shipping cost
- Identify and participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects
- Write accurate, thorough, and consistent process documentation, deploying standard work practices
- Perform root cause investigations and develop corrective actions to prevent recurring problems
