We are looking for a full-time strategic and results-driven Supply Chain Manager to lead production planning and logistics across flexible packaging operations at our Lenexa, Kansas facility. This pivotal role oversees procurement, inventory management, and product development, ensuring seamless coordination between Production, Maintenance, and Customer Service teams. The ideal candidate will provide strong leadership to planning, scheduling, and logistics functions—including shipping, receiving, and warehousing—to drive operational efficiency and deliver exceptional customer service. What You’ll Do:
- Lead production planning, scheduling, and inventory control to ensure alignment with customer demand and plant capacity.
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize supplier performance, reduce lead times, and control procurement costs.
- Oversee raw material, manufacturing supply, and finished goods inventory management in accordance with service agreements.
- Direct product development activities, ensuring successful new item launches that meet customer expectations for graphics, specs, and timelines.
- Manage logistics operations including shipping, receiving, warehousing, and distribution partnerships to support efficient order fulfillment.
- Guide the Customer Service team, driving continuous improvement in order management and quality alert processes.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost, service, and quality, using business intelligence tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Commercial, and IT to support operational excellence and business goals.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, food safety, and regulatory standards through active participation in audits and GMP practices.
- Provide leadership and development for direct reports, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or Business; extensive manufacturing leadership experience may substitute for formal education.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years in manufacturing, customer service, or logistics; 10+ years of manufacturing management experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Leadership & Management: Proven ability to lead teams, mentor staff, and manage complex operations with minimal supervision.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office and Windows-based ERP systems; capable of managing budgets, inventories, and enterprise software functions.
- Professional Competencies: Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills; able to multitask and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Soft Skills: Strategic thinker with attention to detail, customer focus, and a collaborative mindset; excels in critical thinking and effective teamwork.
