Description
The Supply Chain Analyst will support growth initiatives and contribute to Cost & Simplicity programs by applying a highly analytical, data-driven approach to supply chain design, performance measurement, and process improvement. This role will partner across business units to evaluate network performance, develop actionable insights, improve reporting capabilities, and support fact-based decision-making. The analyst will help optimize supply chain operations through modeling, business intelligence, scenario analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position will also support the evaluation of automation, AI-enabled tools, and emerging technologies that improve efficiency and decision quality in a rapidly changing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Business Support & Analytical Partnership
- Partner with supply chain, business unit, finance, and IT teams to deliver analytical insights that support strategic and operational decisions.
- Translate business questions into structured analyses, models, and dashboards that drive measurable outcomes.
- Conduct risk assessments, scenario analysis, and contingency planning to support supply chain resiliency.
- Present analytical findings, trends, and recommendations in a clear, concise, and actionable format to stakeholders.
- Support collaboration with external vendors, consultants, and partners by providing data analysis and performance insights.
Network Analysis & Optimization
- Analyze supply chain network performance, including distribution flows, service levels, transportation costs, and capacity utilization.
- Support network design and optimization efforts through scenario modeling, footprint analysis, and cost-to-serve evaluations.
- Develop quantitative recommendations related to deployment strategies, inventory positioning, and cost/service trade-offs.
- Maintain and enhance analytical tools and models used for ongoing network analysis.
- Support implementation of new supply chain systems and tools by validating data, measuring performance impacts, and identifying process improvement opportunities.
Analytics, Reporting & Insights
- Build, maintain, and enhance reporting and dashboard capabilities using BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Develop KPIs, scorecards, and standardized reporting to improve visibility into supply chain performance.
- Partner with FP&A and business leaders to connect operational metrics with financial outcomes.
- Perform root cause analysis on supply chain performance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Use data mining, trend analysis, and forecasting techniques to identify improvement opportunities and support decision-making.
Continuous Improvement & Data Quality
- Improve data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across supply chain systems and reports.
- Partner with IT and functional teams to strengthen data governance and reporting automation.
- Identify process inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives using analytical methods.
- Assist with change management efforts related to new tools, reporting structures, and business processes.
- Ensure analyses and reporting processes align with company policies, standards, and relevant compliance requirements.
Innovation & Technology Enablement
- Evaluate opportunities to apply automation, AI, and advanced analytics to supply chain processes.
- Monitor industry trends, tools, and best practices to identify innovative ways to improve supply chain performance.
- Support pilot projects and business cases for new technologies through quantitative analysis and performance measurement.
Qualifications
- MBA required; concentration in Supply Chain, Operations, Analytics, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain analytics, operations, logistics, or network analysis.
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize large data sets into meaningful insights.
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with supply chain modeling, scenario analysis, and optimization tools such as Llamasoft, AnyLogistix, or similar software.
- Strong understanding of supply chain KPIs, cost modeling, financial analysis, and performance measurement.
- Experience with data governance, data validation, and reporting process improvement.
- Ability to communicate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of process mapping, continuous improvement, and business process optimization methodologies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple analyses and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting supply chain design, inventory optimization, transportation analysis, or network strategy initiatives.
- Hands-on experience developing dashboards, scorecards, and automated reporting solutions.
- Exposure to AI, machine learning, or automation applications in a supply chain or operations setting.
- Experience working in cross-functional or matrixed business environments.
- Industry experience in manufacturing, distribution, retail, consumer goods, or related sectors.
