Job Details
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead all field operations for shell construction: sitework, structural, framing, tilt, block, steel, MEP rough-in coordination, and dry-in.
- Maintain daily oversight of manpower, subcontractor sequencing, safety, and quality
- Drive the master schedule, identify risks early, and keep the build moving without bottlenecks
- Conduct daily reports, look-ahead schedules, and subcontractor coordination meetings.
- Enforce site safety standards and ensure compliance with codes, inspections, and permitting requirements.
- Partner closely with the Project Manager on procurement, RFIs, change exposure, and job cost awareness.
- Hold subcontractors accountable for scope, quality, and performance expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized jobsite and professional communication with owners, architects, and inspectors.
What you need:
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent focused on ground-up shell builds (commercial, retail, mixed-use, industrial, or automotive preferred).
- Strong understanding of structural systems, sitework, utilities, concrete, steel, and envelope assemblies.
- Proven track record of managing fast-paced schedules and multiple subcontractors.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents.
- Strong leadership presence on-site — respected, organized, decisive.
