Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on-site construction activities for civil engineering projects, including grading, utilities, roadways, and site development
- Coordinate daily field operations, subcontractors, and self-perform crews to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
- Interpret and execute civil engineering plans, specifications, and technical drawings
- Oversee quality control, ensuring compliance with design standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
- Manage project schedules, logistics, and sequencing of civil work activities
- Conduct site inspections, safety meetings, and progress reporting
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve field issues and maintain project momentum
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and promote a strong safety culture across all job sites
Qualifications:
- 5–10+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Field Supervisor with a strong focus on civil construction
- Proven experience managing civil projects such as roadway construction, utility installation, drainage systems, or infrastructure improvements
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, sitework, and construction methodologies
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and survey data
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing multiple scopes of work
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and commitment to jobsite safety
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent field experience)
