Description
Join a rapidly growing residential construction company as a Superintendent in Chicago, IL, where you’ll take the lead on high-end bathroom, kitchen, and addition projects ranging from $20K to $300K. This dynamic team of five staff members and over 50 subcontractors has been in business for six years and is expanding quickly due to high demand and an outstanding reputation for customer service. If you thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment managing multiple projects at once and enjoy working directly on-site with no office requirements, this is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role with strong bonus potential.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Superintendent position include:
- 5+ years of residential construction experience (10+ years in construction supervision preferred) – Oversee 4–6 remodeling projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and quality completion
- Strong leadership and communication skills – Lead crews and subcontractors while maintaining direct client communication throughout each project
- Experience coordinating multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, etc.) – Supervise subcontractors to ensure work is completed on time and within budget
- Knowledge of remodeling projects including bathrooms, kitchens, and additions – Monitor scope, time, and material specifications and report discrepancies
- Ability to troubleshoot technical installation issues – Escalate complex matters to the Senior Project Manager as needed
- Organizational and time management skills – Ensure timely procurement of materials, permits, and inspections
- Proficiency with MS Office (Zoho or similar software experience transferable) – Assist with change orders, estimating, approvals, and documentation
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally – Manage job sites Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, plus approximately $20,000 bonus opportunity.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including a gas card, bonus opportunity, and up to 10 paid days off, with additional benefits provided after six months of employment.
