Our Core:
- Love for the Lord: Our staff loves Jesus and is dependent on Him every day. Above all else, our staff desires to put Jesus first and live for Him in both action and deed. Our staff reflects the love of Christ, and His name is made glorious through our lives.
- Love for Kids: We are in the kid business. Our staff have a heart for reaching kids and building lasting relationships through sports camping. We desire to love, protect, serve, encourage, and challenge each kid who walks through the Kamp gates.
- Love for Sports: At Kanakuk, we believe that the area of athletics is a great platform in which we can reach kids with the message of Christ. At Kamp, we love to coach, teach, and encourage kids and families in over 70 sports and activities. You don’t have to be an athlete to work at Kamp, but you must love to be active!
- Love for Excitement: Kanakuk is a crazy place! Kamp is filled with non-stop action and adventure. Whether it’s dressing up for a wild theme party or riding down a huge zipline, our staff is fired up and going nuts every minute! The excitement never ends at Kanakuk.
- Love for Team: Our staff is a team united under one mission. Our staff is selfless, never seeking personal gain or attention. We desire to serve and encourage one another in all that we do and say. We are all in this together and want the name of Christ to be made famous above all else.
Three Kamp Experiences:
- Overnight Kamps: Since 1926, we've welcomed over 500,000 Kampers to our family of Overnight Kamps in Branson and Lampe, MO for the life-changing experience that can only be found at summer camp.
- Family Kamp: Our resort-quality Family Kamp welcomes hundreds of Kampers from 0-100 each summer. You'll have the opportunity to serve Kampers of all ages as they experience a life-changing family vacation in the Ozarks.
- Day Kamps: Our Day Kamp experience travels across the country, bringing the fun, excitement, and life-changing adventure of Kanakuk to kids and communities each summer.
Positions:
- Counselor: Invest in the lives of kids by instructing activities, coaching sports, creating fun memories, and teaching spiritual truths 24 hours a day.
- Dining Hall/Kitchie: Be a part of our awesome dining hall programs as you provide food prep and services for Kampers while being disciples in a tight community of friends.
- Cook: You will participate in and oversee meal preparation. Kampers and staff love the food at Kamp and need the healthy meals you'll provide.
- Office: Be the friendly face and voice of Kamp as you answer phone calls, respond to e-mails, organize paperwork, and interact with all who come through our gates.
- Maintenance: Live and fellowship with a team of guys while you set up parties, mow, clean, and make our facilities safe and beautiful.
- K-Kids/Nursery: Be a blessing to the whole family as you serve and care for our youngest Kampers (infant - pre-school) in the K-Kauai nursery.
- Photo/Video: Capture the memories and smiles from behind your lens as you shoot, edit, and produce photos or videos for Kampers and parents to remember forever.
- Specialty Staff: Join a limited number of staff who have experience in high ropes, rappelling, camping, canoeing, boat driving, lifeguarding, or water skiing.

Kanakuk began in 1926 as a small summer camp in the Ozark Mountains. What started as a simple summer experience has grown into a movement that has impacted hundreds of thousands of campers, families, and leaders for more than a century.
