STUDENT ANALYST - .NET Software Developer

Who We Are:

Financial Data Systems supports SwRI through the development of software that is utilized by our various business groups and research divisions. Current projects include a new timekeeping system, an AR management system, and multiple HR services projects.

Objectives of this Role:
  • Working on small teams under the direction from senior staff, the employee will develop and maintain web and Windows applications for the Financial Data Systems Section.
  • Work hours allow employees to flex their shift between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM with the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays.
  • Summer 2026 student position.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
  • Aid in all phases of the software development process (requirements definition, design, implementation, testing, and documenting), while developing business software solutions that are used by SwRI staff.
  • Use .NET to maintain legacy applications and/or participate in the development of new systems. Legacy applications are written in VB.NET, while newer applications utilize C#.
Requirements:
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field. Coursework in Business Administration and/or Accounting is a plus.
  • 0 years: Working knowledge of C#, .NET Core, Visual Basic, ASP.NET, HTML, Javascript, Bootstrap, or Oracle is a plus.
  • Good verbal and writing skills are required.
Special Requirements:

Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
