Structural Intern Engineer

System One is partnering with an architectural firm seeking a Structural Intern Engineer in the Kansas City, Missouri area. Responsibilities include:

  • Perform structural analysis for wood, steel, masonry, and reinforced concrete using tools like RISA-3D, RAM, or SAP2000
  • Participate in initial design calculations and contribute to various project phases across commercial, healthcare, industrial, and multi-family developments
  • Support on-site construction administration activities
  • Assist in preparing design documents and collaborating with BIM team using Revit
  • Engage in activities supporting the path-to-licensure process, including exam prep and professional development
Requirements
  • 0-5 years of experience in structural engineering or related field
  • Strong technical knowledge of Revit for BIM collaboration
  • Prior or scheduled FE exam (or equivalent certification)
  • Understanding of IBC/ASCE 7 codes
  • Proficiency with structural analysis tools such as RISA-3D, RAM, or SAP2000
  • Excellent communication skills and eagerness to learn
