Structural Engineer

Role:  Structural Engineer

The ideal candidate will have experience in structural design, standards, material specification, and fabrication, specifically in steel frame structures.  The candidate will also have experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. 

Job Responsibilities

·         Develop design of steel structures with assistance from Senior Engineer.

·         Review code requirements and establish analyses criteria. 

·         Develop structural arrangement models and drawings.

·         Prepare design analyses demonstrating the suitability of structures for supporting applied loads.

·         Prepare details for connections.

·         Review and check engineering drawings for use in fabrication and installation.

·         Communicate with others on the project team and with the customer’s technical personnel.

Minimum Requirements

Must possess a Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering degree and a minimum of 3 years of professional experience.

Have strong verbal and written communications skills.

AutoCAD or equivalent experience required; STAAD structural analysis and design software experience preferred.
