Structural Department Manager

Required qualifications include a B.S. in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field, along with a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania, while one in New Jersey is considered a plus. Candidates should have over a decade of progressive experience within structural engineering, with a strong portfolio involving local and state agencies, particularly PennDOT or Turnpike projects.

The successful candidate will exhibit expertise in building client relationships and securing new business, coupled with top-notch communication, project management, and business development skills. Leadership and organizational abilities are crucial, demonstrated by a proven ability to meet both contractual and financial goals. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and structural design software, especially related to PennDOT, is preferred.

In this role, you will guide, support, and enhance the skills of a team of Structural Engineers and Designers. You will manage the design and analysis of various infrastructure assets and govern the entire lifecycle of local, county, and state bridge projects, including permit acquisition and bridge inspections. Your role will include formulating compelling project proposals, offering construction support services, and ensuring financial oversight of projects to align with profitability goals. Additionally, you will foster growth within the Corporate Structural Engineering domain and actively participate in professional and civic organizations, further strengthening client connections.
