Structural Analysis Engineer 1

Position Summary:
This role involves performing limited structural analysis using established tools and methods to ensure aerospace systems and components meet technical requirements and specifications. The engineer will support validation and verification activities through testing, working closely under the supervision of senior staff.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Conduct structural analyses (classical methods and finite element modeling) to support design validation

• Work on various critical aerospace platforms including:
  787 Dreamliner, Air Force One, F/A-18, Space Launch System, Starliner, and Autonomous Systems.

• Assist in test planning and execution to substantiate structural integrity for customers and regulatory authorities.

• Document analysis results and support review cycles.

Top Required Hard Skills:

1. Structural analysis expertise (classical hand calculations and FEA).

2. Experience with finite element analysis software (e.g., Nastran, ANSYS, Abaqus).

3. Understanding of material properties and structural behavior.

4. Technical documentation and reporting skills.

Preferred Skills:

1. Familiarity with internal *** (e.g., Boeing) analysis tools and processes.

2. Prior experience with aerospace structural analysis and substantiation.

3. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and certification standards (e.g., FAA, DoD).
