Qualifications
Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or a related field
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build rapport and provide excellent customer service
Reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and use a ladder
Responsibilities
Greet walk-in customers and identify their needs
Answer phones and assist with phone and online orders
Respond professionally to customer emails
Explain flag and flagpole products and services
Process customer orders using QuickBooks
Monitor inventory and maintain Excel spreadsheets for inventory and ordering
Keep store displays stocked and the sales floor clean and organized
Receive, ship, and organize stock
Investigate and resolve customer concerns in a professional manner
Position Overview
We are seeking a friendly, reliable Part-Time Retail Sales Clerk to become an integral part of our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, is eager to learn about flags and flagpoles, and values working for a locally owned business.
You will assist customers in selecting products, process sales, and help maintain a welcoming and organized retail environment that supports the success of our store.
Schedule:
Daytime hours, 15–20 hours per week
Monday–Friday between 9:45 AM and 5:15 PM
Hours may expand in the future
Paid on-the-job training provided
