Position Location:

This is a full-time position located onsite at the Laughlin AFB in Del Rio, Texas.

Job Overview:

Prepare and distribute required documents for the warehouse function. Must be able to perform primary tasks for the assigned applicable section such as supply warehouse, Flight service center, mobility/IEU, receiving, inspections, document control, and demand processing/customer service and CEMAS warehouse.

 

Able to identify, monitor, test, protect, and preserve warehouse stock in accordance with regulations. Establish the final identification and classification of all property received, stored, issued, or shipped. Identify property known or suspected to be damaged or to have deteriorated or corroded during use, storage, or shipment.

 

Ensure shelf-life and tags are correct. Ensure documentation accompanies all property received, stored, issued, and shipped, and condemn property when such action is prescribed by directives of higher authority.

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

  • Purchases, receives, stores, and issues materials and merchandise. Requisitions articles to fill incoming orders.
  • Uses a computer to order parts and materials from known vendors.
  • Verifies that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents.
  • Ensures shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles.
  • Prepares and keeps records of goods shipped. Verifies that incoming shipments are correct by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records.
  • Checks for damaged goods.
  • Ensures that goods are appropriately identified for routing. Prepares and keeps records for goods received.
  • Maintain documentation and report files to support Director of Logistics/COS Maintain necessary suspense files to make sure supply personnel process all documents promptly.
  • Responsible for the inventory of all items in conducting inventories scheduled through the Establishes and maintains a complete inventory schedule.
  • Maintains letters of authorization for customers to receive property and provide this information, upon

  • Manage reverse-post actions when documentation errors are
  • Manage the inventory and the document control

  • Document Control performs quality control checks, manages the delinquent document program, and other listings required for quality control checks in inventory and document control. Responsible for control of authorizations to receipt for property, weapon reporting, and shipment suspense files.
  • Perform all job requirements according to Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 23-110 or related AFIs/government
  • Provide quality work performance in accordance with applicable DOD, Air Force, and MAJCOM directives and instructions as well as local standards and guidelines.

Job Requirements:

Mandatory:

  • Must be able to obtain and hold a NACI Security Clearance.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift, pallet jack, cherry picker, etc.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Class C Texas driver's license.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand and have working knowledge of hazardous, safety, and environmental warnings.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required to.
  • Must be able to stand for several hours.
  • Ability to work On-call as required for the position.
  • Work alternate schedules as required for the position and locations assigned.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Team Player, Ability to communicate effectively, works harmoniously with others., to be determined by management.

 

Preferred:

  • General knowledge of Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
