Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join a growing Ambulatory Surgery Center team in the Carmel/Westfield area. This role will start part-time with the expectation of transitioning to full-time within 1–2 months. The ideal candidate is committed to ensuring surgical instruments are properly sterilized, organized, and ready for safe and efficient procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, decontaminate, inspect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
Organize and maintain sterile instrument sets and trays for upcoming procedures
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
Track instrument usage and maintain accurate inventory records
Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to meet procedure schedules
Assist with room setup and turnover as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Sterile processing or central service experience preferred
Ability to follow strict infection control protocols and sterile technique
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment
Schedule & Work Environment
