Qualifications and responsibilities for this Steel Project Manager position include:
- 5+ years managing structural steel projects for a steel contractor; lead projects from handoff through final installation
- Strong knowledge of detailing workflows, fabrication sequencing, and erection logistics; ensure alignment with production schedules
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and revisions; track submittals and RFIs
- Experience coordinating shop fabrication and field erection; manage ship dates and sequencing
- Proven ability to identify risks early and implement recovery plans
- Strong communication skills; drive coordination between GC, engineers, detailers, fabrication, and field teams
- Experience supporting change orders and cost recovery efforts
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining workflow continuity
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including a company-wide gain sharing program, medical coverage for the employee, 4% 401(k) match, and paid time off starting at one week in the first year and increasing to two weeks thereafter.
