Job Title: Stationary Engineer (Weekends)

Overview
System One is seeking a skilled and dedicated Stationary Engineer to oversee and maintain our client's critical mechanical systems during weekend shifts. This full-time, non-exempt role offers competitive compensation and a dynamic work environment focused on safety, operational excellence, and career growth.


Responsibilities

  • Safely operate, maintain, and repair industrial mechanical systems, including ammonia-based refrigeration, HVAC units, and boilers, ensuring continuous and efficient production.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to manufacturing and facility infrastructure, applying predictive maintenance techniques and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Collaborate with QA and Warehouse teams to promote seamless communication and adherence to safety standards.
  • Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Participate actively in safety programs, develop procedures, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, AIB, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for internal audits and external inspections.
  • Support ongoing technical development through occasional travel and continuous learning.


Requirements

  • First Class Stationary Engineer license with demonstrated understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, and boiler systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, preferably within the food industry.
  • Proficiency in predictive maintenance and interpreting PdM data.
  • Valid refrigeration recovery license and Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to defuse conflicts in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and adapt to a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Excellent math and reading comprehension skills for technical documentation.
