Job Summary
The Staff Project Controls Specialist leads project controls processes to ensure successful execution of engineering and construction projects within budget and schedule constraints. This role partners closely with internal project management teams to manage scheduling, forecasting, cost control, earned value tracking, and reporting.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in Primavera P6 scheduling, cost analysis, and critical path methodology (CPM) within an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and manage projects within Enterprise Planning & Controls software
  • Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
  • Create and manage scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts
  • Apply and analyze Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling techniques
  • Monitor and validate resource loading and schedule logic ties
  • Develop and maintain earned value management systems and progress curves
  • Perform schedule “what-if” scenario analysis
  • Review upstream and downstream change orders
  • Approve Purchase Orders and Subcontracts for proper coding
  • Conduct field audits to validate reporting accuracy
  • Support Project Forensic Analysis
  • Interface with Project Management and Accounting to review cost and contingency data
  • Assist with external audits and compliance reviews
  • Support Interactive Project Planning Meetings (IPPM)
  • Perform material takeoffs and quality checks
  • Comply with all company policies and standards

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field OR equivalent applicable experience
  • Minimum 3 years of direct project controls experience
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, forecasting, and cost management principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • OSHA 10-hour safety certification (or ability to obtain)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Oracle Primavera P6
  • Experience in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) environments
  • Knowledge of forensic schedule analysis techniques

Work Environment
  • Onsite position in Conshohocken, PA
  • Collaboration with engineering, procurement, accounting, and construction teams
  • Field audits and project site interaction required
