Staff Accountant – West Atlanta, GA

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and growth‑minded Staff Accountant to join a well‑established, rapidly expanding organization in the distribution and services industry. As a Staff Accountant, you will support daily and monthly accounting functions while helping strengthen the department’s overall capacity. Core responsibilities include:

Reconciliations & Workpapers (Monthly & Quarterly)

• Prepare and maintain detailed reconciliations
• Ensure accurate and timely closing processes
• Build and maintain supporting workpapers

Floor Plan Management

• Reconcile interest, principal, and payoffs
• Support audits and provide documentation to lenders
• Monitor equipment movement between entities

Month-End Close

• Participate in the monthly close
• Process intercompany transactions and allocations
• Prepare journal entries (templates available)

Additional Responsibilities

• Support cost allocations (benefits, etc.)
• Potentially manage sales commissions in the future
• Assist with process improvements and increased automation
• Work closely with sales coordinators and other teams

This role requires a Staff Accountant who is comfortable working independently while also thriving in a highly collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
• 3–5 years of accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills required (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, templates)
• Month‑end close and reconciliation experience
• Experience in a service‑based industry a plus, not required
• ERP experience helpful; Microsoft Dynamics preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to collaborate with multiple departments
